Its been long time that I did not thought on Investment and insurance option. Want to make profit out Of Satyam Shares Investment Loss. Everybody is aware of recent Satyam fiasco. I got badly stung and I would like to share my experience so that others can avoid making similar mistakes.

The day Ramalingam Raju resigned, I saw the share price of Satyam tumble from Rs 180 to Rs 90 in a matter of minutes. Now that by itself cannot be a valid reason for the share price to tumble. I became greedy and bought 2000 shares of Satyam @ Rs 90.

Later on in the same day, I learnt that he confessed to committing a series of frauds !!! Now that is something serious. If the profits had been manipulated to the extent of Rs 7,000 Crores over several years, then the real value of the Satyam share should be Rs 10.

Justifiably, the share price of Satyam fell to Rs 10 (or actually to Rs 6.50 also) the very next day and is fluctuating between Rs 20 to Rs 38.

I lost a great deal of mooney in the process. How does one come out of the messy siutation?

The only solution is to sell some shares of Satyam at every rise and buy them back at a lower price. Even if I sell 500 shares every day and buy back at a profit of Rs 2 after deducting all expenses, I make a profit of Rs 1,000 per day. I may not be lucky enough to do it every day so it may take a year to come out of the mess.

The moral of the story: Do not buy shares of any Company based on partial news. Do a complete due diligence and then invest wisely.

Pension Plans. This is a very important aspect of Financial Planning. There is no point in slogging throughout life and retiring like a pauper. You must be prepared to make a few sacrifices during the working years to save as much as you can to create a healthy corpus for retirement. You must also invest it wisely to ensure proper growth and benefits.

Till a few years ago, investment of up to Rs 10,000 made under Section 80CCC could reduce your taxable income by the amount invested. But only one-third of the maturity amount was tax free and the remaining two-third was taxable. It was a good option then; but not now. Section 80CCC has been merged with Section 80C. So if you have already taken any Pension Plan earlier, please see if there is an exit route.

A very interesting development is that you can seek to provide for your retirement pension through a "Reverse Mortgage" of your existing home / flat. You can pledge your property to a Bank and they will give you some money every month. Your children have the option of repaying all the amounts taken by you along with interest to the Bank if they wish to take possession of the property after your demise. If they refuse to do so, the Bank will sell the property to recover their dues. They may give the balance (if any) to your nominee.

A good ULIP may prove to be the best Pension plan for the following reasons:
1. Withdrawals are tax free while we a still in the EEE Regime where all the three phases of the investment cycle (Investment, growth and withdrawals) are exempt from tax.
2. Withdrawals will remain free even when EET is implements with prospective effect. Withdrawals from plans started before the cut off date will remain tax free; but withdrawals from plans started after the cut off date will be taxed. Some good ULIPs run through till age 99. Having started the plan before the cut off date, you can enjoy tax free returns till age 99. Besides, you can benefit from frequent Switching as explained during my presentation by investing in a ULIP. If you try to practice Switching in ELSS or any other investment, you may have to pay the exit load, 15% short term Capital Gains and Entry load. Besides, withdrawal from the new plan will be taxed as investment is being made after the cut off date.
To save tax under Section 80C investment in any of the following qualify:
1. NSC
2. PPF
3. ELSS
4. ULIP
5. Principle repayment of Home loan

You can reduce your taxable income by Rs 1 lakh by investing in any of the above Schemes.

NSC is the worst option as you get 8% return which is taxable. If you are in the 30% tax bracket, the effective post tax return works out to 5.6% which may not even beat inflation.

PPF is slightly better as it offers 8% tax free returns and you may get 1 or 2 % growth net of inflation.

ELSS is a better option as you may get a better return assuming Share Markets grow @ 17% CAGR. But there is a lock in period for 3 years. You cannot sell / switch in the first 3 years. You will remain a silent spectator watching your fund values erode in a falling market.

I have this blog on which I used to change the blog templates almost twice a month in initial days. and I have this blog on which I did not do any modification I am using one of the default template provided by google, as most of do. Here is one important observation that you must not ignore, if you are craving for earning from blogging then follow these steps and this observation.
Observation is that, The earnings from the blog which i used to change the template is quite impressive and so traffic is also more for this blog. And The earnings from the blog which i did not change its default template is very low and traffic is also reducing now.

The crawl rate affects the speed of Googlebot's requests during the crawl process. It has no effect on how often Google bot crawls your site. Google determines the recommended rate based on the number of pages in your site.

Now about my experiment using Google crawl rate. use Webmaster Tools to set up Google crawl rate, I have set up the crawl rate to faster, by default it was low.
How to set up crawl rate?
Go to webmaster tool of Google and use settings tab; there you can select the crawl rate. Set that to Faster.

Well, he was. Naturally, he didn't argue with Big John, but he wasn't happy about it.

End My Suffering?

Suffering is not in the situation, in the fact, but in the perception of the fact.

There is a common belief in the world today that we can transform a situation by changing it. That is called situation content. We think by transforming the content that we are going to be happy with it, but in reality the situation has nothing to do with your happiness or your sadness. It is in the way you look at the situation – the way you perceive the situation.

Very often when something has happened, which you did not expect, which you don’t like or appreciate, the situation has long past, but you still carry the situation inside of you. You are constantly questioning the situation with, Why? – Why did this happen to me? What could I have done differently? And you try to offer many explanations as to why it happened to you.

You see, the suffering is not caused from the situation itself, but in the way you are questioning the situation, in your inability to accept the situation, and all the reasons you think this happened to you. It is impossible in the current state of the world, and with the karma, that one can become completely free of all problems. Problems are bound to be there, for anybody and everybody – whether they be rich or poor, educated or uneducated or of any class or location.

Problems can be there, but there is no reason for one to suffer, because the situation – the problem – intrinsically does not contain any suffering. When you reach a level of consciousness where you can accept situation in life fully, by being alive to the situation, no matter what the situation is, you will be happy. Oneness Blessing can help you reach that level.

Jesus felt enormous Love and Compassion because his brain was wired differently. The Buddha was in the state of immense peace and tranquilly because his brain was wired differently. If you want to feel that peace, if you want to feel that love, it’s possible when the changes happen in the physical, grey matter in your own brain. When your brain is wired differently, then it is possible for you to experience that love and peace. That’s what Oneness Blessing does.

There is not too much to explain about Oneness Blessing because it is not a technique. Sri Amma Bhagavan have not only given us the experience of Enlightenment (Oneness), but also have given us the capacity to give this experience to others through the Oneness Blessing. It is an act of grace. When the Oneness Blessing is given, there is a neurobiological transformation which leads to love, peace, bliss – whatever you are really looking for, including an end to suffering. Enlightenment (Oneness) or whatever you want to call this state is not a psychological process. It is a biological process. If it were a psychological process then surly by practicing a technique it would be possible to achieve. Since it’s not a psychological process, it would be impossible to get there by using a teaching or a technique.

There is no singular definition of Enlightenment, but the way we understand Enlightenment is that it is a state where all suffering has ended – all psychological suffering, and all existential suffering. You live your life with no more sense of isolation. You feel a part of everything, you feel that everything is a part of you. There is the experience of connectedness, and you don’t feel separated from others. So when we speak of Enlightenment, we talk of this experience where all division has ended inside where the sense of separate existence is gone. It is this Enlightenment, through Oneness Blessing that Sri Amma Bhagavan are bringing to people. When Oneness Blessing is given, you will find whatever it is that you have been seeking.

The Washer man and the Foolish Donkey" ?

There was once a washer man who had a donkey and a dog. One night when the whole world was sleeping, a thief broke into the house, the washer man was fast asleep but the donkey and the dog were awake. The dog decided not to bark since the master did not take good care of him and wanted to teach him a lesson. The donkey got worried and said to the dog that if he doesn't bark, the donkey will have to do something himself. The dog did not change his mind and the donkey started braying loudly. Hearing the donkey bray, the thief ran away, the master woke up and started beating the donkey for braying in the middle of the night for no reason.

Moral of the story " One must not engage in duties other than his own"

Now take a new look at the same story…

The washer man ( J ) was a well educated man from a premier management institute. He had the fundas of looking at the bigger picture and thinking out of the box. He was convinced that there must be some reason for the donkey to bray in the night. He walked outside a little and did some fact finding, applied a bottom up approach, figured out from the ground realities that there was a thief who broke in and the donkey only wanted to alert him about it. Looking at the donkey's extra initiative and going beyond the call of the duty, he rewarded him with lot of hay and other perks and became his favorite pet. The dog's life didn't change much, except that now the donkey was more motivated in doing the dogs duties as well. In the annual appraisal the dog managed a "meets requirement" . Soon the dog realized that the donkey is taking care of his duties and he can enjoy his life sleeping and lazing around. The donkey was rated as "star performer". The donkey had to live up to his already high performance standards. Soon he was over burdened with work and always under pressure and now is looking for a job rotation…
